i liked the location, close to city center attractions and easy to go by bus to copacabana beach. The hotel is not expensive but has very good breakfast.

Hotel staff, services, delicious breakfast, etc. This is my 5th time staying at this Hotel. It is sad that Booked.net does not book over weekend, only from Monday through Thursday, I am still in up to next Friday (11 days) this because I got to know the Director and always I stay how many days I need to.
Answered above.

Good breakfast and shower, bed ok.
Neighborhood not too good, street noise, walls need painting, toilet seat broken. Booked for three nights over the internet before leaving the U.S. at 110 reals a night. On return to Rio on a holiday weekend, we had to pay 147 reals a night for the same type of room.

Staff tried to be helpful -they were quick to try and correct any problems.
the entrance was very nice but the rooms were run down and need updating -especially the plumbing! toilet seats do not stay up as they bump against the pipes. it would be good to have more staff who could speak english. Louis was very good and helpful!

Adequate -- relatively cheap, and in a pretty good location at the bottom of Santa Theresa neighborhood (pleasant, bohemian), about half a mile form Lapa (great bars and music). Rooms are purely functional, and not everything works, but it's basically clean and staff try to help.

The thing that I enjoyed most was when I walked out the front door, never to return.
The room looked nothing like it does online. I booked a double room with 1 bed and got a room with 3 of the smallest beds I have ever seen. The tv did not work. It took 5 minutes for the water in the shower to warm up past freezing. The room had no a/C. Overall, it is a pathetic hotel.

The staff were very helpfull and pleasant, though some only spoke a little english. The breakfast was nice, plenty of choice if a little noisy and busy. The room was clean enough and the beds were comfy, but the whole place badly needed refurbishing. However, this is reflected in the price. I believe you get what you pay for and my friend and I wanted a budget priced holiday. The location was handy for local transport, which was on average 2.5 rias, which is approx £1 but the drivers are crazy and you need to hang on to your seats.the hotel is situated on a busy road near a junction, so you hear the traffic stopping and starting at the lights and crossings.lapa, the area you are in is party city and my friend and I only ventured out of the hotel at night to the restuarnt /bars on the corner.it's noisy at night if you are a light sleeper.but for value for money and I would probably stay again. Ansrea anderson newcastle upon tyne.
As above.if you want peace and quiet and a touch of luxury then this is not the place for you .my friend and I are both mid 60;s and we loved it!
